La expresión artística y cultural, así como la difusión de narrativas en medios de comunicación alternos, permiten abrir camino al País recuperado que queremos y merecemos. Este panel permite unir voces que amplifican, problematizan y tejen historias y retratos a partir del impacto de los desastres, la especulación, el desplazamiento y el porvenir posible en Puerto Rico.

Artistic and cultural expression, as well as the dissemination of narratives in alternative media, allow us to pave the way for the recovered Country that we want and deserve. This panel allows the joining of voices that amplify, problematize, and weave stories and portraits based on the impact of disasters, speculation, displacement, and the possible future in Puerto Rico.

Bianca Graulau

Bianca Graulau es una periodista independiente de Puerto Rico. Bianca trabajó para medios de televisión afiliados con Univisión, ABC, CBS y NBC por ocho años. En el 2020 comenzó a informar de manera independiente a través de las redes sociales donde hoy tiene casi un millón de seguidores en diferentes plataformas como Tiktok, Instagram y Youtube. Su trabajo más reciente incluye el documental 'Aquí Vive Gente' publicado en el canal de YouTube de Bad Bunny.

Bianca Graulau is a freelance journalist from Puerto Rico. Bianca worked for television outlets affiliated with Univision, ABC, CBS and NBC for eight years. In 2020 she began to report independently through social networks where today she has almost a million followers on different platforms such as Tiktok, Instagram and YouTube. Her most recent work includes the documentary 'Aquí Vive Gente' posted on Bad Bunny's YouTube channel.

Juan Carlos Dávila

Juan C. Dávila es documentalista y periodista independiente. Es el director del documental “Simulacros de Liberación” (2021), “Vieques: una batalla inconclusa” (2016) y “Compañeros de lucha” (2012). Su filmografía también incluye un puñado de cortos-documentales, incluyendo el galardonado documental, “La generación del estanbai” (2016). Fue productor del podcast “When We Fight, We Win!” y también productor de noticias para el noticiero, Democracy Now! donde continúa colaborando como corresponsal. El trabajo periodístico de Dávila también se ha publicado en medios como The Washington Post, TeleSur, The Huffington Post y The Indypendent.

Cuenta con un bachillerato en comunicaciones de la Universidad Sagrado Corazón, una maestría en documentación social de la Universidad de California y otra maestría en Estudios Latinoamericanos. Actualmente Dávila es el productor de la serie, “Puerto Rican Voices” y dirige un documental biográfico sobre la vida de Carlos “Taso” Zenón y un corto sobre la pesca en Vieques para PBS.

Juan C. Dávila is a documentarist and independent journalist. He is the director of the documentary “Diarios de liberación” (2021), “Vieques: Una batalla inconclusa” (2016) and “Compañeros de lucha” (2012). His filmography also includes a handful of documentary shorts, including the award-winning documentary, “La generación del estanbai” (2016). He was a producer of the podcast “When We Fight, We Win!” and also a news producer for the newscast, Democracy Now! where he continues to collaborate as a correspondent. Dávila's journalistic work has also been published in outlets such as The Washington Post, TeleSur, The Huffington Post, and The Indypendent.

He has a bachelor's degree in communications from the Universidad Sagrado Corazón, a master's degree in social documentation from the University of California, and another master's degree in Latin American Studies. Dávila is currently the producer of the series, “Puerto Rican Voices” and directs a biographical documentary on the life of Carlos “Taso” Zenón and a short on fishing in Vieques for PBS.

Ariadna M. Godreau Aubert

Ayuda Legal Puerto Rico

Ariadna es co-fundadora y directora ejecutiva. Es abogada de derechos humanos, profesora y escritora. Estudió literatura y ciencias políticas y luego Derecho en la Universidad de Puerto Rico. Tiene una maestría en derecho en derechos humanos de la Universidad de Oxford. Trabajó en varias estrategias relacionadas a acceso a la justicia y justicia social en áreas como austeridad, género, pobreza y el derecho a la protesta. Publicó el libro “Las propias: apuntes para una pedagogía de las endeudadas” en marzo del 2018. Es mamá de Lucas Imar y Elián Iré.

Ariadna is the co-founder and Executive Director of Ayuda Legal Puerto Rico. She's a human rights lawyer, professor and writer. She studied literature and political science before studying law in the University of Puerto Rico. She has a Master in Law and Human Rights from the University of Oxford. She was involved in various access to justice strategies and social justice in areas related to auesterity, gender, poverty and the right to protest. She published the book "Las propias: apuntes para una pedagogía de las endeudadas" in March, 2018. She's the mother of Lucas Imar and Elián Iré.
